AeroPress Go by a Horse
AeroPress Go

I once read in a book about coffee that the AeroPress was nothing more than an egocentric coffee toy—resembling a gigantic syringe… But is that really so? I decided to plunge into this investigation as deeply as a shark—may the coffee show me the way!

In search of answers, I traveled to Portugal, sipped coffee at an altitude of 11 km, and even visited Lithuania’s very own Detroit—Panevėžys. A coffee tool created by a NASA scientist found its place on the roof of the “Stasys Museum,” in the back pocket of a woodcutter’s trousers, and even in the battered livers of wrestling fighters.

Until then, every morning had been a chaotic state of insignificance. But now, if you focus and do everything correctly—the AeroPress takes off. The coffee cascades over your taste buds like little onions. They tickle your nerve sensors, which pulse happiness straight to the crown of your brain.

AEROPRESS GO COMPLETE TRAVEL SYSTEM

Original recipe by Alan Adler 🇺🇸

  1. Prepare a paper filter and insert it into the perforated cap.

  2. Remove the plunger from the chamber and get your cup ready.

  3. Add one spoonful of freshly ground coffee (about the consistency of Nida’s sand).

  4. Shake the chamber to evenly distribute the coffee inside.

  5. Pour in hot (but not boiling—80°C) water until you reach the “2” mark on the chamber.

  6. Stir 10 times.

  7. Once the plunger sinks, gently press down for 20 to 40 seconds.

  8. Top off the drink with additional water if you prefer an Americano-style coffee.

CHAMP AEROPRESS

Improvised recipe by Tomas Vėjas 🇱🇹

  1. Use 18 g of freshly ground coffee, ground to a coarse texture—like gritty sand or earth (using a Comandante at 25 clicks).

  2. Rinse 2 paper filters with hot water.

  3. Secure the filters with a stirrer to eliminate any air pockets.

  4. First, pour 50 g of water into the chamber, then add the coffee and stir immediately 10 times.

  5. Next, add 150 g of water until you reach the 200 g mark.

  6. Stir once more in a north–south, east–west (cross stirring) pattern.

  7. Carefully reduce the remaining space in the chamber by gently pressing down the plunger.

  8. Screw on the cap with the filters.

  9. Wait until 1 minute and 30 seconds have elapsed, then flip the AeroPress directly onto your cup.

  10. Gently press for 20 seconds.

  11. Top off the drink with 50 g of water.

  12. Allow the coffee to cool and enjoy it until you’re out of your mind.

Delicious coffee and happy flying!
